User Guide

Boomi Managed File Transfer (MFT) is a business-oriented, virtualized file system for secure file sharing with both internal teams and external stakeholders. You can also access, manage, and transfer files and folders from applications such as Office 365, Outlook, and Salesforce.

Sending files and folders

You can securely send large files and folders from your desktop, web browsers, business applications, and email clients, and request recipients to log in to download files, set expiration dates, and perform other actions to enhance security and enforce policy-driven access.

  • Send files from any web browser using the Boomi Managed File Transfer application.
  • Send email attachments of any size using Boomi Managed File Transfer email client Add-ins for Microsoft Outlook.
  • Securely send sales files using the Boomi Managed File Transfer Add-in for Salesforce.

Receiving files from external users via MFT dropbox™

You can securely receive large files from users who do not have a Managed File Transfer account by creating a link to your Dropbox™. You can use this link in email signatures, web portals, and any platform that supports hyperlinks.

When users upload files to your Dropbox™, you will receive an email notification indicating that the files have been added to your Dropbox™ folder.

For more information, refer to Creating a link using Dropbox.
