Assigning definitions to create rules

You can assign expiration definitions on the following levels to create expiration rules:

  • Site: Rule applies to all site users.
  • User group: Rule applies to all users of a specific group.
  • User: Rule applies to a specific user.

Site rules

You can assign a definition to create a site-level rule.

  1. Navigate to User Expiration from the Administration dashboard

  2. Click Rules and then Site.

    note

    The setting is available only to the Administrator role.

  3. Click Modify and then select the definition from the Select expiration rule definition drop-down.

    When the rule is created on the Site level, a warning pop-up with OK and Cancel buttons is displayed with the number of users who will expire after the rule is applied.

  4. Click OK to apply the rule or Cancel to cancel creation of the rule.

    If the user count is high, the server may take a few minutes to apply a rule.

User group rules

You can assign a definition to create an expiration rule for a user group.

  1. Navigate to Groups from the Administration dashboard.

  2. Select the desired group and click the Expiration tab.

    note

    The setting is available only for Administrator and Manager roles.

  3. Click Modify and then select the definition from the Select expiration rule definition drop-down.

    When the rule is created on a User Group level, a warning pop-up with OK and Cancel buttons displays the number of users who will expire after the rule is applied.

  4. Click OK to apply the rule or Cancel to cancel creation of the rule.

    If the user count is high, the server may take a few minutes to apply a rule.

User rules

You can assign an expiration definition to a specific user to create a user-level rule.

  1. Navigate to Users from the Administration dashboard.

  2. Select the desired group and click the Expiration tab.
