Netsuite SOAP and REST updates

NetSuite's communications indicate that starting with the NetSuite 2026.1 release, Oracle NetSuite will no longer provide a SOAP web services endpoint with every release. The 2025.2 SOAP web services endpoint will be the last regularly scheduled and released SOAP endpoint. For more details, refer to the Announcement.

At Boomi, we are actively tracking NetSuite's evolving API landscape and are fully committed to delivering timely updates to the NetSuite connector for supporting NetSuite’s SOAP endpoints, and a brand-new NetSuite REST connector. This article aims to clarify Boomi’s support for these changes and address common questions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the current status of NetSuite SOAP Web Services versions selectable in Boomi's NetSuite connector, and on which NetSuite SOAP endpoint is the connector currently certified?
Currently, in Boomi’s NetSuite connector, NetSuite 2024.2 SOAP Web Services is selectable in the connection and the NetSuite connector is certified on NetSuite’s 2025.1 SOAP endpoint.

Does Boomi have plans for a NetSuite REST connector?
Yes, absolutely! A NetSuite REST connector is currently under development and Boomi plans to make it available in early 2026.

When will the NetSuite connector versions 2025.1 and 2025.2 be available to be selected on the connector UI?
Boomi has prioritized this enhancement in our roadmap and anticipates it will be available in early 2026.

What is the current status of the NetSuite connector with respect to NetSuite 2025.1?
The NetSuite connector is currently certified on NetSuite 2025.1, which means that existing processes can run on 2025.1.

What is the certification timeline for the NetSuite connector on version 2025.2, and how does this impact the continuity of our current processes?
Boomi plans to certify the NetSuite connector on 2025.2 when the WSDL is made available by NetSuite. Certification enables existing processes to continue against the certified version of NetSuite.

NetSuite states that SOAP endpoints are supported for three years. Does this mean my SOAP integrations will stop working abruptly after three years?

NetSuite's official stance is that SOAP web services endpoints are supported for three years after release, and the oldest endpoint is switched off automatically with each new NetSuite release.

However, based on our understanding and past observations, while "support" ends, the schema itself may continue to operate for a longer period — potentially up to seven years from the UI versioning. For example, a 2025.1 UI version's corresponding schema might theoretically keep working until 2033.1.

It's important to differentiate between "supported" (meaning NetSuite will actively provide assistance and resolve issues) and "working" (meaning the functionality remains operational). While the endpoint could continue to function, relying on unsupported versions carries inherent risks, and it is always advisable to upgrade to supported versions or migrate to REST.

Boomi encourages all customers to stay informed about these changes and proactively plan their integration strategies to align with NetSuite's evolving API landscape. Our team is committed to providing the necessary tools and support to ensure a smooth transition and continued success with your NetSuite integrations.
